just bought the .40 same one as pictured and i dont think i couldve gotten better for the money! fits excellent in my hands, its feels light and is very simple. the trigger does have a hard pull but thats only because it has no safety. i took the pig tail spring out and polished the internals. still a little hard to pull but fells alot smoother, and i dont really mind the hard pull. you can buy a replacement spring that makes it about a 5lbs. pull. overall im very happy with it

I’ve had one for a few years now. My hands are not strong enough to pull through the trigger so it is very hard for a girl like me to fire.

Just got the S&W 40, i have not had a chance to fire it yet and it is a nice gun but i do have a few small complaints about it. Accessories are hard to find for it cause of the closed end accessory rail and the lack of a safety but for the price cant really go wrong

Just used this handgun at the firing range today – now I want one! Real nice – excellent weight and feels very solid. I also fired a Glock 17 9mm which was very accurate, but didn’t feel nearly as powerful as the S&W .40. I think if I’d been able to adjust the sights I would have been happy with the S&W as I was able to get tight groupings – just not center mast.

This gun is an excellent choice for home protection.

Unfortunately I, live in California and i have 10+1. But overall fire’s real nice and grip is very comfortable.

this weapon is one of the most comfortable to fire it is so nice my 80 year old father will not fire any of are other weapons any more he is in love with the response and action of this one it is are first s&w weapon and will not be are last . i would recommend this for any one who is serios about home protection . its reliable and very accurate even for a first time shooter .

it is a nice feature easy to hold and aim fits comfortably in your hand
